Watershed Research
Welcome to the Watershed Research Group
The Watershed Research Group is a group of students, faculty, and staff in the Department of Biological & Agricultural Engineering at Kansas State University interested in studying various components of the hydrological cycle in a watershed, water-quality problems related to non-point source pollution, and impacts of climate variability on geomorphological and anthropological processes. The Watershed Research Group utilizes various modeling tools and monitoring network to better understand physical processes in a watershed.
The ongoing research and extension projects relate to:
- soil and streambank erosion in Kansas,
- assessment of water-quality impacts of non-point source pollution, and
- effects of climate variability on water-quantity and human behavior in Kansas.
We collaborate with the scientists of various departments at K-State, as well as other Universities, and federal labs.
